We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer/Design Project Manager to join our Structural Engineering team in Jacksonville, FL. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of structural engineering design development practices. You will lead engineering activities, inspect jobsites, perform structural analysis, prepare design documentation, and manage the team's structure and procedures. Compensation:
Base salary range is typically between $125,000 - $145,000 (commensurate with experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of structural engineering design development, ensuring high-quality results, compliance with regulations, and adherence to project timelines.
- Oversee the preparation of structural design documentation, including calculations, design reports, and plans for various industrial construction projects.
- Perform structural analysis to assess design integrity and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Supervise engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and company procedures.
- Inspect jobsites to ensure structural integrity and compliance with designs and specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and solve complex engineering problems.
- Manage and lead the engineering team, establishing roles, responsibilities, and workflows to ensure efficient project execution.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful project outcomes.
- Ensure all designs and project activities align with the mission and goals of the organization.
- Travel to job sites as needed for project inspections and client interactions.
Qualifications
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in structural engineering design, project delivery, or equivalent industrial construction projects.
- Project management experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) is preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, RISA, Revit, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Education:
- A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field is required.
Licensing/Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex structural engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of DoD standards and regulations related to structural design.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed for inspections and coordination.
