Primary Responsibilities:
General Accounting Functions
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Organize and maintain financial records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Financial Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
- File sales and use tax returns in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and support financial close processes.
Revenue and Cost Optimization
- Analyze financial data and recommend strategies to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Perform inventory management and reconciliation.
Support Functions
- Assist in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.
- Respond to requests from management and external auditors.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Skills and Proficiency
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite by Oracle and Paycom (preferred).
- Ability to analyze financial reports and troubleshoot accounting software.
