Overview
Reporting to the Regional Vice President (RVP), assist the RVP with oversight and management of operational and financial controls and reporting for the Built Environment Solutions Northeast Region. Provide the RVP with timely information required to accurately understand current conditions and make decisions consistent with the region's strategic plan. In collaboration with the RVP, support and facilitate a working environment targeted at enabling employees to deliver highly successful projects, consistent with internal policies and procedures, through accountability and innovation. The Operations Manager (OM) will be accountable for assisting the RVP in achieving regional revenue goals, expected margins, and for increasing project profitability through price realization metrics. The operations manager will have no direct reports, but will work closely with regional leadership, finance, and business development teams to ensure adherence to corporate policies, increased financial awareness and accountability by project teams, and aggressive pursuit of new work in support of the above.
Essential Job Functions
- Support procedures that will allow consultants to maximize profits while still maintaining ultimate client satisfaction.
- Document and promote best practices including, where necessary, collaboration with technical directors, proposal team, finance, and marketing.
- Participate in weekly practice area operations meetings to review operational and / or general issues.
- Meet monthly with RVP and practice leaders to review financial metrics on high visibility projects and / or problem projects.
- Ensure accounting deadlines and requirements are met by all billable consultants and project teams.
- Oversee where each billable team member charges their weekly time and manage time entry metrics for the region.
- Assist RVP and practice leaders in defining project goals for higher risk projects. Risk determined
- based on client viability, project scope (>
100K), public perception, or future potential opportunity.

Salary range : $200,000
Physical Demands, Overtime, and Travel Requirements
Overtime - This position is classified as salaried with an exempt FLSA status. Regular working hours are 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch. Overtime will be required from time to time necessary to meet the expectations outlined above.
Travel Requirements - This position requires travel that may make up to 25% of a typical workweek. The majority of travel will be confined to the region. Some out-of-area and overnight travel will be required from time to time.
