Are you an attorney with a commercial litigation background? Primary duties for this job will consist of preparing expert witnesses for testimony, preparing responses and objections to subpoenas, assisting with responses to Daubert challenges, and assisting the General Counsel with litigation management. Secondary duties will be to review, revise, and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Primary background in litigation, litigation strategy, and use of expert witnesses required.
- Draft, revise, and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors (preferred, but not required).
- Build relationships across business units and with leadership stakeholders.
- Interact with outside counsel to achieve legal objectives.
- Assist in drafting and review of company policies.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:
- Strong academic credentials with a J.D. from an accredited law school; attorney’s license must be current, active, and in good standing.
- 5-15 years of experience
REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Broad experience in litigation: discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, Daubert motions, and trial.
- Excellent writing skills, sound business judgment, and effective communication skills required.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage deadlines effectively.
- Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude.
- Positive and courteous disposition with clients and employees.
