Landscape Technician:
Rimrock Landscapes LLC is a landscape construction and maintenance company. We value our employees, we know that they are the reason for our success, and we treat them accordingly.
We are looking for highly motivated individual that is independent and can work well with others being supervised by a crew foreman.
This position has room to grow in our company.
The goal for this position is to be trained within 2 months to have the ability to take over maintenance crews when we need a Foreman on that crew. This would take 2 months of training before we would be able to implement this. The pay would increase when you would be filling in for the foreman. There will also be opportunity for Prevailing Wage jobs.
Landscape Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Follows written and verbal instructions
- Helps build and renovate stone pathways, paver patios, and block retaining walls.
- Loads and unloads materials and equipment for upcoming jobs.
- Operate skid steer, excavators and dump trucks.
- Pull and back up trailers with various equipment on them.
- Plants new flowers, trees, sod, hedges, and bushes.
- Installs mulch in existing and new beds.
- Maintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
- Waters plants and lawns and adds fertilizer as needed.
- Helps install irrigation systems.
- Removes snow, ice, and leaves as needed.
- Drives work vehicles to and from job sites.
- Adheres to all company policies and safety precautions.
- Maintains a valid Washington state driver’s License with clean driving record.
Work schedule:
Generally, you will work 8-10 hours per day Monday through Friday. Some Saturday work, or longer days Monday-Friday may be required when weather delays us. This position is full time, 30-50 hours spring-fall. There will be work during the winter clearing snow and ice, although it will slow down compared to the busy season. We will employ someone that has drive and is open to learning new skills along with striving to become a skilled landscaper or landscape foreman, we may send you to trainings and classes to learn new skills that can be performed on jobs.

Requirements:
- Uses equipment, pulls trailers, including tractors, skid steers, excavators, compactors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators.
- Lifts 80 pounds and handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing.
- Communicates effectively, speaking multiple languages is preferred.
- Works well independently and with a team.
- Has great customer service skills.
- For all new employees a background check will be required.
- Company uniform policy, we will provide clothing for work hours.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Pulling and backing trailers is required! NO EXEPTIONS!
- Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be over 18 years old.
- Clean background (we will run background check prior to employment)

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
