The Proposal Writer & Brand Manager position is responsible for leading the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Qualification (RFQ) response process, developing compelling content, and ensuring strong brand visibility. Key responsibilities include managing the entire RFP/RFQ lifecycle, creating persuasive proposals, coordinating with various teams for input, and actively contributing to brand development and consistency across all materials. This role also involves working creatively with the team to develop approaches for interviews that result from the RFP process, to secure new business for the company.
Key Responsibilities
RFP/RFQ Management & Proposal Development
- Manage the end-to-end RFP/RFQ process, including initial review and assessment for right-fit work, assignment of tasks, content creation, and timely submission
- Develop creative and engaging proposal content highlighting Rinderknecht/Merit Construction's strengths, experience, and value proposition
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and other team members to gather necessary information and ensure accurate, comprehensive responses
- Ensure proposals comply with all RFP/RFQ requirements and are delivered on deadline
- Analyze RFP/RFQ results and track key metrics to improve future proposal strategies
- Work creatively with the team to develop approaches for interviews that result from the RFP process to secure new business for the company
Branding
- Make valuable contributions to developing and enhancing the Company's brand
- Ensure all marketing materials/campaigns are consistent with and reinforce the Company's brand
- Designs print materials and advertisements that resonate with prospects/customers
- Coordinates all logistics, schedules, meetings and materials for trade shows, meetings and events
- Work with external partners to elevate Rinderknecht/Merit’s visibility and awareness with prospective communities, organizations and businesses
Marketing Activities
- Frequently updates the Company website, including creating content, monitoring traffic
- Monitor and engage with online communities and respond to customer inquiries
- Contribute and maintain the company's social media presence
Requirements
Educational and experience requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or in a relevant field or an equivalent amount of training.
- Relevant experience in a marketing/writing role, preferably in a related industry.
- Proven ability to set and achieve marketing goals.
- Strong writing and content creation skills (work samples and on-site writing test required)
- Proven ability to manage digital and print marketing.
- Strong public relations skills to develop external relationships in our community and industry.
- Proven ability to effectively support sales efforts.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign or similar layout software
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
