What are the responsibilities and job description for the 6th Grade Team Leader position at Rindge Avenue Upper School?
Description of Service Opportunity:
6th Grade-Assist administration in aligning beliefs and practices around the goals, mission, and core values of the school among their team and with other teacher leaders
Work with administration in building a healthy school community and positive school culture
Keep administration in the loop of all events, activities and issues that revolve around or affect their team
Facilitate business, advisory, and student-focused team meetings (agendas, attendance, minutes on google docs shared w/extended team, administration all within a shared team folder)
Attend Instructional Leadership Team meetings; be a liaison between ILT and team members
Ensure on-time submission of monthly team Learning Previews for newsletter and school website, as per submission schedule
Model and provide support to team members around living the core values throughout the school day
Model and provide support to team members around SIP goals and quality instruction grounded in the practices and principles of Developmental Designs and Skillful Teacher
Plan, coordinate, and communicate to administration, extended team (includes Specials teachers, Special Educators, counselors), and families in regards to: Parent Communication/Conferences; Special Events; Field Trips (two week notification of field trips to school nurse and cafeteria, and coordinate as necessary to meet student safety/needs)
Engage in periodic performance review with principal
