What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Medicine Physician, Outpatient Clinic position at RINGGOLD COUNTY HOSPITAL?
Ringgold County Hospital is actively seeking a full-time Family Practitioner to join our outpatient rural clinic located in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
They average 16-18 patients per day with new patients scheduled for 40 mins and current patients at 20 mins. The practice is very robust and the incoming physician will need to be comfortable seeing consistent caseload of chronic patients. The incoming physician will work a 4-day work week on a daily schedule of 7AM-5PM or 8AM-6PM.
The clinic is currently using Greenway as their EMR but is looking at switching to EPIC, Cerner or Meditech, in the near future. The incoming physician will be a part of a 1-5 month rotation to round at two of the nursing homes in the community one day a month, and to take telephone call only every 5th week.
Candidate Parameters
The preferred candidate(s) will fit the following criteria:
- Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine
- New Grad to experienced candidate looking to practice at least another 8 years
- Incoming physician must be comfortable working with chronic patients and their care
- May consider visas on a case-by-case basis

RCH is an affiliate of MercyOne. Services provided by our 16-bed critical access hospital have expanded far beyond inpatient care. We now provide same-day outpatient surgeries, infusion therapy, cardiopulmonary rehab, physical therapy, sleep studies, medical imaging, and more.

Mount Ayr Medical Clinic is our rural health clinic located within Ringgold County Hospital. The current facilities were built in 2009 and features modern, large, and spacious. The physicians at Mount Ayr Medical Clinic treat patients of all ages between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The clinic also functions much like an urgent care facility, treating those without life-threatening symptoms but who require immediate medical attention.
