Summary: Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The position will support various aspects of the department and day-to-day financial operations of the company. The Administrative Accountant will be responsible for preparing account reconciliations on various balance sheet accounts, preparing expense analyses, performing analysis on account activity and preparing commentary as needed, assisting with quarter- and year-end audits and supporting inquiries from company personnel. The role will closely interface with the other Finance functions as well as functions across the organization and directly report to the Accounting Manager.
• Assist in the month-end close process and other assigned department related tasks, as necessary.
• Ensure data integrity for assigned accounts including understanding of required upstream internal controls over financial reporting.
• Book monthly journal entries and prepare related account reconciliations.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues, effectively and in a timely manner.
• Actively maintain and review designated General Ledger accounts and activity.
• Support business processes by partnering with other departments.
• Consistently evaluate areas for process improvement and automation.
• Partake in ad hoc accounting or finance projects and analysis, as assigned.
• Excellent communication skills: proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels in a clear and concise manner.
• Proactive self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and an ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet pressing deadlines.

Education and/or Experience:
