Job Description Summary
The PreCollege Teaching Assistant position provides support to the program's academic classes. Each Teaching Assistant is hired to support one instructor in either a Morning Core or Afternoon Immersion class. Teaching Assistants enhance learning objectives through the use of their talents, skills and creativity, assist in managing the courses attendance, and oversee evening / weekend Open Studio sessions. This position works directly with minors.
Applicants who have not worked PreCollege in previous summers should apply to this position.
Teaching Assistants may be required to work morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours, and must have full availability through the duration of both the training week and entire PreCollege Program, June 15-July 19, 2025. Teaching Assistants cannot work other on-campus jobs while PreCollege is in session.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assists in the delivery of lesson plans and workshops.
- Serves as a mentor for students in and outside the classroom.
- Provides classroom support such as taking attendance, setting up equipment and obtaining supplies.
- Attends meetings and events as assigned.
- Assists in inventory, preparation and distribution of materials.
- Documents student progress; reports progress to PreCollege Coordinators.
- Evenings and weekends required, work hours extend up to 25 hours per week.
- Other duties as assigned.
