Overview of the Position
We are seeking a skilled Operator to manage the daily operations of our energy plant. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar environment and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant, including monitoring and controlling equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as maintenance and quality control, to achieve operational objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide training and guidance to new employees, as needed.
Work Environment
The selected candidate will work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, which includes days, nights, and weekends. You will spend most of your time in the plant, surrounded by various types of chemical industry equipment. The position may require exposure to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold, depending on weather conditions. Additionally, you will be required to operate various types of equipment, such as front-end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, scissors lifts, and aerial lifts.
