Plant Controller

We are collaborating with a dynamic manufacturing organization to find a Plant Controller who will oversee the financial health of the plant operations. This role is ideal for a proactive financial leader who thrives in a manufacturing environment and is ready to make a measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial activities for the plant, including reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Partner with plant leadership to drive cost optimization and operational efficiency.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and rolling financial plans for the plant.
• Perform financial analysis to support decision-making on capital investments, inventory management, and production planning.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Lead cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and product profitability reporting.
• Conduct financial reviews and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a financial liaison between corporate headquarters and the plant.
• Provide mentorship and training to the plant accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
• 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory control.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
