Under the general supervision of the General Manager, supervises the entire scope of the facility: programs, events, part-time and contract employees. General responsibilities include scheduling, supervising programs and employees, acting as a facility manager, and performing various administrative activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the supervision of all aquatic programs
- Maintains the intake and recording of registrations for programs
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all guests and staff
- Communicates effectively and professionally (verbally and written) when interacting with supervisors, co-workers and guests
- Responds to all phone call and email inquiries in a timely fashion
- Leads and implements bi-weekly staff meetings
- Assumes responsibility of taking disciplinary action as necessary while on duty
- Enforces policies and procedures professionally and accurately
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Current AFO or CPO certification required
- Current American Red Cross Certifications in lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, first aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED Essentials, Water Safety Instructor required or the ability to obtain upon employment
- Experience in management, marketing, communications and/or recreation preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
Working Conditions
Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard recreational facility with a pool, office setting, indoor/outdoor and some off-site events. The use of standard office equipment including telephones, fax and copy machines, computers and cash registers. The use of maintenance equipment including pool vacuums, skimmers, rescue tubes, rescue cans, throw ropes, Shepard’s crook, backboard, cervical collars, AEDs, chemical feeders, filters, hair baskets, pumps, motors and other equipment associated with the recreational facility
Physical Requirements
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and swimming.
Salary : $48,000 - $50,000
