Position: Camp Counselor
Description & Requirements
Job Position:
Under the general supervision of the Camp Director, performs a variety of activities related to the function required to maintain the Camp Programs at the recreational facility.
Duties and Responsiblities:

Assists camp director with supervision of programs and activities.

Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately.

Management of daily camp activities.

Communicates accurate and professional information to parents and children.

Responsible for alerting camp director to any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions
-
Maintains a clean and safe environment for children and staff.

Responsible for daily and nightly cleaning of facility.

Communicates all information verbally and in writing to camp director.

Responsible for attending staff meetings and trainings.

Responsible for completing all other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Qualifications

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

2 years of demonstrated work experience in ice rink or recreational facility or equivalent.

High school graduate or equivalent
-
Prior management/supervisory experience preferred
Working Conditions
Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard office environment, however all functions named in this section could also be performed on an ice surface or in a recreational facility, depending on the location. Work may be required indoor and outdoor.
Additional Conditions:

Use of standard office equipment that includes computers and software packages, fax and copy machines, telephones, and cash registers

Use of maintenance and cleaning equipment that may include ice resurfacing machines, ice maintenance equipment, skate sharpeners, vacuums, mops, and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility
Physical Requirements
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.
Salary : $17 - $18
