Description
Under the supervision of the Concessions Manager. Performs a variety of food preparation and customer service-related duties and assists the manager on duty with general operations of concessions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow supervisor's assignments for food production and prepare food and beverage products for guests by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines

Set up, operate and clean kitchen equipment, according to correct procedures as well as keeping workstations clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked

Effectively uses customer service skills to control customer interactions.

Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately.

Communicates all information verbally and in writing to supervisors and co-workers.

Maintains a clean and safe environment for patrons and staff.

Responsible for daily/nightly cleaning of Concessions.

Responsible for completing all tasks assigned by Cafe Manager on time.

Prepares and serves beverages, such as soft drinks, coffee, beer, and wine.

Complies with all state and county Health Codes.

Operates the cash register and maintains proper cash handling.
-
Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, and preparing hot and cold menu items. Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard office environment, however all functions named in this section could also be performed on an ice surface in accordance with employment in a recreational facility of which an ice rink or arena is present.
Machines and Equipment Used:
Standard office equipment that includes, computers and software packages, fax and copy machines, telephones, refrigeration units, ice machines, convection and microwave ovens, sinks, dishwashing equipment, handcarts, fountain and carbonated beverage dispensers, cash registers, vacuums, maintenance equipment, floor scrubbers, mops, brooms, and any other equipment associated with use in a concession setting.

Qualifications

One year of food service experience required

One year of commercial cooking experience preferred

Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations

Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail

Ability to work as a team player, following procedures and taking directions

Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements

ServSafe certification (or equivalent) preferred
