Positon: Figure Skating Coach
Description & Requirements
Under the supervision of the General Manager and Skating Director, primary responsibilities will include instructional and supervisory ice activities.
Job Summary:
Responsible for teaching basic fundamentals of ice skating in group and one-on-one settings.

Demonstrate proper use of equipment, techniques and methods of proper movements to achieve proficiency in basic skills.

Follow the United States Figure Skating Basic Skills programs format.

Explain and enforce safety, rules, and regulations.

Keeps the Skating Director, General Manager, and parents informed of issues that may arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively recruits new skaters and lesson participants.

Educates the public on the proper and the safest procedures required for ice activities.

Accurately evaluates placements of students for skating instruction.

Accurately records student and course information and prepares certificates.
-
Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately.

Practices excellent customer service.
-
Communicates clearly and professionally with staff and patrons.

Attends scheduled staff meetings.

Maintains a clean and safe environment.
-
Responsible for completing all tasks assigned in a timely manner.

Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned.
Qualifications
Work Environment & Conditions:

A recreational facility.
-
Working indoors and/or outdoors.
-
Some off-site promotion.
-
Facilities which include ice rinks include working on ice.
-
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.
Requirements

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
-
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must have passed USPS Free Skate 1 or equivalent Program.

Familiarity with ISI and USFSA skating programs.

Comprehensive understanding of figure skating levels and requirements.

Extensive skating background.
-
Must be able to work with students of all ages, including young children.
Salary : $25 - $30
