Description
Job Purpose
This is a seasonal position at a busy ice/roller rink. Assists with the management of the entire scope of the facility in the absence of the GM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations that include, but are not limited to, programs, events and physical facilities
- Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately
- Supervise the rink employees including assisting in scheduling staff with attention to the payroll budget
- Possess the knowledge of all the rink positions and the ability to work in that capacity as required
- Immediate and complete reporting of all liability issues
- Responsible for all cash handling including reconciling petty cash daily, and daily bank deposits
- Maintain a clean and safe facility
- Communicate professionally verbally and in writing
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 2 years of demonstrated work experience in an ice/roller rink, recreational facility, or equivalent.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Prior management/supervisory experience preferred
Working Conditions
Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard office environment, however, all functions named in this section could also be performed on an ice/roller surface or in a recreational facility, depending on the location. Work may be required indoors and outdoors.
Additional Conditions:
- Use of standard office equipment that includes computers and software packages, fax and copy machines, telephones, and cash registers
- Use of maintenance and cleaning equipment that includes ice/roller resurfacing machines, ice/roller maintenance equipment, skate sharpeners, vacuums, mops, and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility
Physical Requirements
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.
Salary : $18 - $20
