What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Bindery Operator position at Rink Printing Company?
We have an opening in our bindery department for a skilled bindery operator. First preference will be to candidates that are already employed within the industry (or have recent experience). Confidentiality is assured. Pay will be offered based on such experience. However, we are open to meeting people that have production experience and/or the desire to join our team. Our full bindery department consists of Guillotine Cutters, Die-Cutters, Folders & Stitchers. As a Bindery operator you must have good reading comprehension, basic math skills, and are responsible for setting up and running the various devices within the bindery department to ensure that all items produced meet customer specifications in accordance with company policies and procedures. Making adjustments, maintenance to machines as needed, and operating machines safely are key. Knowledge of commercial print industry is helpful, but we will train enthusiastic and people that are willing to learn. This is a first shift position in a climate-controlled facility with benefits and competitive pay. Compensation offered will be based on experience and is negotiable. - Set up assigned machine to specifications, obtain approval of set up and run product when indicated by manager
- Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve, if possible, notify manager if problem persists
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations including departmental housekeeping standards.
- Able to read and comprehend job tickets and customer specifications.
- Able to communicate effectively with other employees.

- Willing to be cross trained in the work of other departments/equipment.
- Must be a dependable daily production employee
