RRinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is looking for a IT Support Technician (Tier 2) professional to serve as the right hand of the IT Director regarding technical assistance, ensuring seamless IT support for end-users at our HQ in Manassas, VA.
In this role, you will provide advanced technical support to end users, troubleshoot complex IT issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure. What You'll Do:
- Provide Tier II support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
- Assist end users with Windows operating systems, Office 365, and business applications
- Manage and support Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions
- Configure, install, and maintain IT equipment including printers, VoIP phones, and networking devices
- Work with VPN, remote access, and cloud-based systems to support remote employees.
- Maintain and update IT documentation, tickets, and asset tracking
- Collaborate with Tier I support and escalate complex issues to specialized teams when necessary
- Train and guide end users on best IT practices and security policies.
- Assist in IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
- 3 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues efficiently
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft 365 Certified are a plus
- Experience with enterprise-level IT support and remote troubleshooting tools
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments (Azure)
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
