Summary
In this position you will play a vital role in supporting our Commercial Loan Officers and ensuring a smooth loan application process and high quality experience for our customers. Strong collaboration with customers, loan officers and internal departments throughout the process is essential.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service both in person and via telephone.
- Interview loan applicants, order and review credit reports, complete and process necessary documentation.
- Work with customers to obtain all required supporting loan documentation.
- Ensure loan packages are complete and compliant. Review loan documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.
- Collaborate with customers, attorneys and loan processors, to assure loan documents have met all requirements.
- Answer telephone and written inquiries regarding loan applications.
- Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years’ banking experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Loan processing or related experience preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Good grammar skills are essential.
- Is detail-oriented, well organized and possesses strong time-management skills.
- Is a self-starter, a problem-solver and team-oriented.
- Proficient use of computers and a variety of software programs including Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Two plus years’ experience as a lending assistant in the banking industry.
- Working knowledge of banking lending rules and regulations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, phones, photocopiers, and scanners. Moderate stress level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to talk, hear, stand, walk, stoop and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 5 to 20 pounds. This position involves sitting for long periods of time, frequently viewing a computer monitor and requires good hand-eye coordination and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp.
TRAVEL: Minimal travel to attend staff meetings and trainings on occasion.
