What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker II (5.5 hours daily) position at Rio Elementary?
Under the general direction, performs a variety of duties related to food preparation and food service; maintain food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition; collects lunch money and lunch cards; performs other related duties as required. Participates in the preparation of a wide variety of food items, including but not limited to, meats, main dishes, baked goods and sandwiches. Follows standardized recipes. Sets-up serving areas and steam tables; serves food to students and staff. Maintains work areas in a clean and sanitary condition; cleans kitchen utensils and equipment. Collects money and operates a computerized meal card system; bags and parepares money for bank deposits. Prepares a variety of routine reports related to food consumption, moneys collected and inventory. Operates a variety of standard kitchen equipment, including but not limited to, oven, slicer, mixer, steam table and warmer. Receives, checks and stocks deliveries; assured food items and supplies are stored properly. Assists with monthly inentory as directed. Confers with Food Service Manager regarding service needs. Operated kitchen and maintains records in the absence of the Food Service Manager. Performs related duties as required.
