Job Summary And Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will assist the Operating Room Surgeons and staff to assure a safe and therapeutic environment for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• You will communicate with surgeon continuously as needed about the patient’s condition and assist surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.
• You will assist circulator and anesthesia provider in preparation of the patient/OR Suite to include but not limited to Foley catheter placement; tourniquet application; cricoid pressure application; gathering needed supplies/equipment for the procedure; other procedures as needed.
• You will have accountability for delivering quality patient care and for promoting a positive image of the department.
• You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

Certified Surgical Technologist by the Liaison Council Certification of the Association of Surgical Technologist, NBSTSA Assistant in Surgery – Certified (NCCT or ABSA) BLS

• 2-3 years of experience as CSFA
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required.
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)
• Associate Degree
