Furniture Mover/Order Picker

Rio Grande Trade has an exciting job opportunity for a part-time furniture mover/order picker who enjoys an extremely active job where duties will vary from day to day. You must be able to team lift furniture that can occasionally weigh several hundred pounds.

Availability Needed: 10am-6pm Monday thru Friday & 9:30a-3p Saturday

By nature, this position may be asked to assist in any department, however the primary duties include:

• Pick products from shelves for customer pick-ups
• Help team lift large furniture items like couches
• Shelve/backstock auction products
• Help to keep the warehouse organized and tidy
• Assist in loading and unloading the truck when products arrive
• Other duties as required by leadership
• Provide incredible customer service

Required skills/abilities

Due to the size and weight of the products we sell, this position is active and physically demanding and is ideally suited for someone who enjoys a very active job. The applicant must be someone who doesn't mind being on their feet for most if not all of their scheduled shift.

Additionally, the duties of this job will change from day to day, so the applicant must be someone who is comfortable with change and trying new things. The ideal applicant must be able to:

• Be on your feet for the entire scheduled shift (excluding breaks)
• Safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Safely lift up to 70 lbs. on occasions
• Safely team lift over 100 lbs. on occasions
• Experience using a pallet jack preferred but not required
• Basic computer skills (basic functions in Google Docs, Google sheets)
• Work well with others
• Fluent English
