The primary responsibility of the Attendant – Pool Reception is to manage and ensure that the pool reception desk is running smoothly while helping guests with general questions, requests and cabana reservations, both in person and over the telephone.

- Greet and assist guests upon entering the pool area, answering inquiries and telephone calls.
- Take and manage cabana reservations, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
- Check out rental equipment and maintain the freshness and stock of towels.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance as an integral function of the job.
- Proactively welcome and thank guests, identifying and taking ownership of service opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions, cabana reservations, and guest interactions in a reliable and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock levels, and tidiness of pool and recreation areas consistently.
- Regularly check equipment and tools to ensure proper handling and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Fulfill any other related duties as assigned.
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
- Ability to work nights and weekends and holidays as business demands.
- Excellent public relations skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone when dealing with management, team members, and guests.
- Able to count money and conduct sales of merchandise, and basic computer knowledge to handle cabana reservations.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Experience as a Pool Guest Attendant or Lifeguard.
- Experience in a similar resort setting.
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
- Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
- Must regularly lift and/move up 30 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
- Work outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, varying conditions of temperature, heat, water, wind, extensive sun exposure, chemicals, including chlorine and other pool chemicals, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- The pay range for this position is $16/hour.
