Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a key part in meeting our business objectives by ensuring accurate reimbursement for patient care services.
You will participate in the Patient Assessment Process through completion of items on the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and accompanying Care Area Assessments (CAAs).
Assist in developing individualized patient care plans, identify patient needs, and projected outcomes as required by federal and state regulations.
Contribute to the nursing center's interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process while following RAI guidelines for completion, computer encoding, and electronic transmission of the MDS.
Identify changes in patient condition in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate scheduling and completion of indicated assessments.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living training for new hires and ongoing continuing education for existing staff.
Attend educational programs to maintain knowledge of current RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.
Qualifications
A Registered Nurse license in good standing is required.
Prior experience in a hospital, long-term facility, or other healthcare-related facility is necessary.
Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing practices, medical procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care is essential.
