Look no further and come join us at Rio Restaurant and lounge. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dedicated Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest relations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and with a smile upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage the nightly reservation list, set, and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant and direct reservations to promoters.
- Assist guests with inquiries and help resolve any issues that may arise during their visit.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills to engage with guests effectively.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Ability to build rapport with guests, enhancing their dining experience through excellent customer service.
- Familiarity with Clover POS or similar systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and helping guests feel valued during their visit.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
