What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Supervisor position at RIOMAR COUNTRY CLUB?
Purpose: To create and provide exceptional service to Club Members, their families, and guests by consistently meeting and exceeding their expectations. Ensuring all outlets are ran in a professional manner.
Reports to: Director of Food & Beverage
Job Summary:
The Dining Room Supervisor will operate side by side with the food and beverage management team for daily Beach Club and Clubhouse operations.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Multiple years of Hospitality experience
- Strong administrative and computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite: emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Clubessential point of sale software a plus
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; ability to prioritize and organize
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, promote and generate enthusiasm and interest for the Club’s diverse dining programs.
- Keep an accurate history file on daily revenues.
- Understand and meet financial expectations.
- Promote, advertise and market the Club’s outlets and new menu rollouts.
- Monitor’s reservations daily and accommodate specials requests.
- Serves as liaison between culinary, service and management staff.
- Performs special projects assigned.
- Responsible for adhering to and monitoring Club policies and standards.
- Monitors staff uniforms.
- Interacts with members answering questions, solving problems, and overseeing services.
- Helps manages departments staffing needs.
- Must be skilled in time management and motivation.
- Must have a good self-image and be able to command respect of employees.
- Must be able to assign, monitor and complete all opening/closing procedures for service staff.
- Helps to establish, update/maintain all written procedures for the department as needed.
- Complete periodic china/glass/silverware & uniform inventories, maintaining par levels.
- Making sure all clock-in/out reports are correct.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
- Managers Food Safety Certification
- Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Certification
- Sommelier Certification preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours.
- Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
- Ability to work in a hot, humid environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
