Staff Software Engineer

in League of Legends, you’ll report to your team’s Engineering Manager in our office in Los Angeles. You will work on building around game experiences for League of Legends PC, such as approachable navigation, progression, social, identity, and shopping experiences. You will work on player retention improvement efforts, as well as features to improve engagement and monetization of existing players.Responsibilities :

Partner with UX designers and UI artists to create awesome game experiencesLead technical design and implementation of systems leveraging your subject matter expertise in UI developmentWork closely with backend engineers to integrate experiences with various complex microservicesEnsure exceptional code quality by adhering to engineering excellence which includes : code maintainability, quality, monitoring, code reviews, and documentationProvide mentorship to other engineers on your team on UI development best practicesGive input on the evolution of the existing proprietary UI development framework used to build UI in League of LegendsRequired Qualifications :

6 years of game development experience4 years of professional experience in C Deep subject matter expertise building UI in games, including thorough understanding of common UI and software design patterns (e.g. MVC, MVVM)Experience shipping software at scale that deploys on a range of different platformsExperience collaborating across disciplines (e.g. Design, Art, QA, Production) to create solutionsExperience implementing software engineering best practices within your team, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, tools improvements, source control management, build processes, and testingProduct sense, pragmatism, and player empathy in making tech decisionsBS in Computer Science, or proven understanding of Computer Science fundamentalsDesired Qualifications :
