You’ll partner closely with other game makers on features and provide other engineers with a clear illustration of extraordinary engineering.As a Staff Software Engineer focused on UI within Research & Development, you are armed with a wealth of knowledge on the intricacies of game UI technology to inject life into an exciting new game. You will work in a team alongside a product lead, designers, artists, and other engineers to answer fundamental product questions and build experiences that will fulfill our players’ imaginative dreams.Responsibilities : Implement, debug, and refine HUD and FrontEnd UI for a brand new Riot titlePartner with UX designers and UI artists to create satisfying user experiencesCollaborate with product and discipline leads to identify focus areas, handoff points, and provide the best solution for the development phaseLead and contribute to technical design and implementation of meta game systems where UI is a core componentWork closely with backend and build teams to create space efficient UI packagesRequired Qualifications 6 years of professional programming experienceThorough understanding of common UI software design patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVP)Strong knowledge of data driven design principlesBS in Computer Science, or proven understanding of Computer Science fundamentalsStrong OO C / C / C# programming experienceExcellent debugging skillsExperience collaborating with teammates across multiple disciplinesProduct sense, pragmatism, and player empathy in making tech decisionsDesired Qualifications Online SaaS (software as a service) game development experienceExperience using Unreal Engine, especially UMG and SlateExperience using scene rendering analysis tools such as RenderDocFor this role, you'll find success through craft expertise and a collaborative spirit that prioritizes the delight of players.
