About The Role
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of water pumps and evaporation systems used at a large-scale Bitcoin mining facility. The role ensures that pump systems function efficiently to prevent overheating of mining equipment, which is critical to maintaining continuous operations and optimal performance.

About The Role
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of water pumps and evaporation systems used at a large-scale Bitcoin mining facility. The role ensures that pump systems function efficiently to prevent overheating of mining equipment, which is critical to maintaining continuous operations and optimal performance.
Essential Functions

Supervision And Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of technicians and operators responsible for the operation and maintenance of water pumps and evaporation systems.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members are knowledgeable about safety procedures, operational protocols, and maintenance best practices.
- Schedule and coordinate daily activities, including routine checks, maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Oversee the operation of water pumps and evaporation systems to ensure efficient cooling of bitcoin mining equipment.
- Monitor system performance through data analysis and real-time monitoring tools, ensuring optimal operation and identifying potential issues.
- Perform and supervise regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, inspections, and repairs of pumps, pipes, and other components.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve issues with pumps, valves, and evaporation systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, operations, inventory, construction, and Electrical, to address and resolve any cooling-related challenges that impact bitcoin mining operations.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain records of system performance, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts, chemicals, and other materials needed for system operation and maintenance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of necessary resources.
- Prepare and present reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and team productivity to upper management.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of cooling operations.
- 5 years of experience in industrial pump systems, HVAC, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of water pump and evaporation system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cooling systems used in high-energy environments, such as data centers or bitcoin mining facilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operation environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- High School Diploma or GED - required
