About the role
We are looking to add a Facilities Maintenance Assistant Supervisor to our growing Maintenance Department . As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant Supervisor, you will be responsible for assists in the supervision of maintenance staff and the daily operations of facility maintenance activities. This role ensures that the facilities are well-maintained, operational, and safe. The Assistant Supervisor works closely with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to coordinate tasks, manage resources, and provide guidance to the maintenance team. This on-site position will directly support our Maintenance operations at our Corsicana, TX location.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of work.
- Provide training and support to maintenance staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
- Assist in scheduling and overseeing preventive maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.
- Perform routine inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in proper working condition.
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Assist in procuring necessary materials and coordinating with vendors for repairs and services.
- Ensure that maintenance records are accurately maintained and updated.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Conduct safety inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities.
- Communicate effectively with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor regarding the status of ongoing projects and any issues that arise.
- Prepare and maintain reports on maintenance activities, including work orders, completed tasks, and inventory levels.
