Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment across all areas of the facility. Your work will ensure that our spaces are welcoming, hygienic, and functional for employees, visitors, and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of offices, common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in high-traffic areas, including hallways, lobbies, kitchens, and conference rooms.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to support sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stocked.
• Support special projects, including event setups, seasonal deep cleaning, and facility upgrades.
• Follow all health and safety protocols to create a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.
• Monitor the cleanliness and safety of exterior areas, such as walkways, parking lots, and entrances.

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities maintenance roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and procedures.
• Basic maintenance skills (e.g., minor repairs, plumbing, electrical work) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Coachability: Must be open to feedback and willing to learn, improving skills and work processes as directed.
• Adaptability: Ability to accept constructive feedback and apply it to enhance performance and effectiveness in the role.
