As a pugmill foreman, your responsibilities would center around supervising and coordinating the pugmill operation, ensuring safe and efficient production, managing personnel, and maintaining equipment, while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols. Must be mechanically inclined, plus and have experience with heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire pugmill process, from raw material intake to finished product output, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Adhere to production schedules and targets, ensuring timely completion of work.
- Regularly check and maintain pugmill equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Identify and resolve any issues or problems that arise during the pugmill operation, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Supervise and train pugmill operators and other staff, ensuring they are competent and capable of performing their duties safely and effectively.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to pugmill operators and other staff, ensuring efficient workload distribution.

- Regularly monitor the performance of pugmill operators and other staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Regularly conduct safety inspections of the pugmill and surrounding areas, identifying and addressing any potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all pugmill personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of pugmill operations, including production data, equipment maintenance, and safety incidents.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to ensure smooth operation of the pugmill.
- Manage the pugmill budget and resources effectively, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Requirements:
- five years related experience in civil construction.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining a pugmill is required.
- Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations is required.
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must be mechanically inclined experience is a plus.
- Must have Knowledge and experience as a pugmill operator, Ensuring the correct materials (clay, water, additives) are fed into the pugmill in the right proportions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
