World Entertainment is seeking a Ride Manager for our Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge locationsFull time positionPosition Summary : The Ride Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe operation, maintenance, and guest experience of rides and attractions. This role emphasizes safety, accountability, and training, ensuring compliance with all operational standards and regulations. The Ride Manager fosters a culture of safety and excellence while delivering an exceptional guest experience.Key Responsibilities : Safety and Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and ensure all rides and attractions are operated in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.Oversee emergency response procedures and ensure staff are trained in proper emergency protocols.Maintain accurate documentation of safety checks, incident reports, and compliance records.Accountability : Monitor ride operations to ensure adherence to operational standards.Evaluate team performance and provide coaching or corrective action as needed.Develop and implement strategies for improving team accountability and operational outcomes.Training and Development : Deliver comprehensive training programs for ride operators and maintenance staff.Ensure staff are fully trained and certified before operating or maintaining rides.Conduct ongoing training sessions to reinforce safety procedures and operational excellence.Mentor team members to foster professional growth and promote a culture of continuous improvement.QualificationsEducation & Experience : High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in ride operations, amusement parks, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.Skills : Strong knowledge of ride operation safety standards and regulations (e.g., ASTM, AIMS, NAARSO, OSHA)Excellent leadership and team management skills.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications : Certification in ride safety (e.g., NAARSO, AIMS) is highly desirable.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in an outdoor environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions.Physical stamina to inspect rides and attractions, including climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods.Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
