What You’ll Do:
Ripley PR is looking for an exceptional writer to create client and agency content for a variety of earned and owned media platforms. Our ideal candidate has a solid business acumen, creative vision, and the ability to see the big picture for our agency and each of our clients. With an effective content strategy and high-quality writing being a top focus for our clients, the Sr. Content Writer is a very important position for the agency.
Responsibilities:
- Write press releases and bylined articles with excellent grammar and AP Style
- Write blogs conforming to client voice and following agency SEO best practice
- Participate in assigned client meetings; create agendas and meeting minutes
- Maintain records and generate reports as assigned
- Develop, plan and execute public relations tactics for assigned clients
- Collaborate and brainstorm with other members of the agency team, proof their work and coach for improvement
- Stay up to date on emerging industry trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field
- 4 years of related professional writing experience (not including college coursework)
- Print journalism and agency experience is a plus
- Experience writing about B2B, franchise, skilled trades and manufacturing. Knowledge of environmental organizations, animal welfare or plant-based products is a plus.
- First-class interpersonal skills
- Works well collaborating as a team and working independently
- Highly organized
- Proficient in PC, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress and content management systems
