What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Manager position at Ripon Print Studio?
Description: We are looking for a confident, outgoing personality to become our next Ripon Print Studio Front Desk Manager. They will first act as the “face” of Ripon Print Studio as they are the first person customers interact with when they do business with us. They will additionally act as a project manager as they intake jobs, create quotes, manage due dates, order materials, communicate with the production team, and follow up with customers, etc. This position is one of the most crucial parts of our business and we are dedicated to looking for the right person to fill the role!
Primary Job Responsibilities-
- Acting as “the face” of Ripon Print Studio- Answering phone calls, responding to emails, greeting & helping customers that walk into the shop
- Helping customers with quotes for custom/bulk orders or with purchases in the retail shop
- Displaying product knowledge by selling & suggesting garments, printing methods, or materials
- Project Management- Getting the quote to the next department (i.e. graphics, production, etc) or ordering materials
- Ensuring materials for the job have been ordered and documenting the expenses
- Checking in with production to make sure the job is done on time with accuracy
- Collecting payment from the customer
- Problem solving anything that may go wrong along the way
- Acting as a sales person to walk in shoppers- talking about current promotions or new products, maximizing sales with every customer
- Taking ownership and a sense of pride for the front of house- keeping the front/retail portion of the shop clean & tidy.

Required Experience
- Basic computer skills- Apple/Mac systems
- 3-5 years of customer service experience
- Retail or sales experience
- Bonus but not required: basic use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.
- Bonus but not required: Basic knowledge of printing industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
