Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced utility-scale PV Solar & BESS engineer who :
- Functions as the lead design engineer for utility-scale PV Solar projects (20MW and larger)
- Leads the development of electrical design packages for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects (20MW and larger)
- Has the ability to serve as QA / QC on medium voltage collection system design projects and mentor junior engineers
- Has a strong understanding of inverter based technologies commonly applied for these project types
- Collection design includes single line diagrams, collection system layouts, communication diagrams, power cable sizing and cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and following applicable fire, electrical and building codes
- Effectively communicates with all stakeholders
- Actively participates in project plan meetings
