As a Head Instructor, you will be at the forefront of this mission, guiding students through Taekwondo training while teaching essential life skills like confidence, discipline, focus, and respect.
This is a full-time position that requires additional hours outside of the standard operating schedule of the school to support its growth. As a managing position, Head Instructors will be responsible for overseeing the success of their students and the school, including supporting enrollments and fostering a culture of achievement.

Responsibilities:
- Lead fun, engaging, and safe Taekwondo classes for students of all ages.
- Teach basic and advanced techniques, forms, and self-defense.
- Supervise all activities to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants.
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with Ripple Effect’s standards, focusing on martial arts skills and leadership development.
- Inspire and motivate students to reach their potential, building confidence, discipline, and focus through martial arts.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged and respected.
- Encourage teamwork, respect, and physical fitness through interactive sessions.
- Actively participate in staff training, meetings, and special events.
- Use effective classroom management to maintain a positive and energetic class atmosphere.
- Support business growth by assisting with advertising, marketing, lead generation, and recruiting.
- Demonstrate excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, acting quickly to resolve any issues.
- Manage the overall success of the school and its students, including monitoring student progress and supporting enrollment efforts.
Qualifications:
- An outgoing, leadership-driven personality is a must.
- Minimum of 2 years of martial arts training at the Black Belt level, preferably in Taekwondo.
- Experience teaching or coaching students of all ages.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities, people, and projects.
- Proven skills as an effective and engaging instructor.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their goals.
- Sales and customer service experience is a plus.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be reliable, enthusiastic, and hard-working with a passion for teaching and leadership development.
- Excel in communication, working effectively with students, families, staff, and the community.
- Show flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances, maintaining a "whatever it takes" attitude.
- Be comfortable working with diverse students of varying age groups, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Requirements:
- Must be available for evening and weekday classes.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching martial arts.
- Strong organizational skills, a self-starter mentality, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- A commitment to excellent service, with professionalism at the forefront.
- Must pass a background check.
