About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Government Affairs Director to join our team. This position involves executive Ripple Fiber’s grant strategy and securing funding from federal and state initiatives to support fiber optic infrastructure projects. This position will work closely with the VP of Data Analytics, the Government Affairs Director will assess new areas, engage communities and municipalities, form relationships, write proposals, make submission, and keep the Ripple Fiber executive team informed.
This position is for our Massachusetts Markets and will NEED TO BE LOCAL TO MASSACHUSETTS!
Responsibilities:
- Implement Ripple Fiber’s overall grant strategy.
- Identify and assess available federal and state grant programs to support fiber optic infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with the executive team to engage communities and municipalities, form relationships, and secure funding for fiber deployment and network management.
- Write and submit grant proposals to federal and state initiatives, with a focus on the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.
- Monitor and report on the status of grant applications and follow ups as necessary.
- Advise the President and Ripple Fiber executive team on grant-related issues and provide financial guidance on the pursuit and prioritization of grants.
- Attend relevant industry events and conferences to maintain a strong understanding of current grant programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
