About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join Rippling’s Security Engineering function. The role reports to the CISO and will lead a Product Security Team dedicated to securing our Platform and IT Products.
This role will grow a dedicated security team who will build a security platform tailored for a particular cloud.
What you will do
- Act as the head of security for your Rippling Cloud helping the Engineering leaders there to understand and manage their risk.
- Lead and maintain a team of talented product security engineers.
- Create the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the security architecture for your cloud, and iteratively deliver on these goals quarter over quarter.
- Collaborate with your peer Directors within Security Engineering to build a security Platform roadmap of services that should be managed centrally to allow us to scale our own security operations.
- Build effective security controls that measurably reduce risk.
- Build effective metrics that allow you to communicate the risk and current security posture of the cloud to the CISO and Executive stakeholders.
- Create a long-term roadmap for the team which includes resourcing and capacity planning to input into Rippling long-range planning.

This role will receive a competitive salary benefits equity. The salary for US-based employees will be aligned with one of the ranges below based on location.
The pay range for this role is :
225,000 - 393,750 USD per year (US Tier 1)
202,500 - 354,375 USD per year (US Tier 2)
191,250 - 334,688 USD per year (US Tier 3)
