Rippling is on an exciting growth trajectory, and our Product Infrastructure and Tools team is at the forefront of this journey. With a robust team of 800 engineers supporting over 1,300 sales and support personnel, we are committed to building innovative tools and infrastructure that empower our company to excel. As a key member of this dynamic team, you'll play an instrumental role in managing and enhancing essential systems like Feature Flags, Sales Account Tooling, and various support features. Rippling highly values in-office collaboration. Employees living within 30 miles of an office are expected to work onsite three days a week with those living 30-49.9 miles away expected to be in the office one day a week. Employees living over 50 miles away are required to relocate within 30 miles of an office. To enhance team cohesiveness, new employees are asked to work onsite three days a week for their first six months.

What You Will Do
- Innovate and Develop: Design and implement high-quality, reliable software using technologies like Python, Django, Ruby, React, and more, driving efficiency and innovation across the company.
- Architect and Deliver: Build and deploy software and tools that empower our teams, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate and Connect: Foster strong relationships with engineering, sales, and support teams to deeply understand their infrastructure needs and enhance their operations.
- Lead and Mentor: Serve as a technical leader within the team, spearheading critical projects and initiatives while mentoring junior engineers and fostering their growth.
- Drive Automation and Scalability: Play a pivotal role in evolving Rippling’s product infrastructure and automation strategies as we continue to scale.
- Extensive Experience: 5 years of proven experience as a backend engineer.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong preference for experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of infrastructure engineering and best practices.
- Technical Proficiency: Preferred experience with Python, Django, Ruby on Rails, and React.
- Tool-Building Acumen: Previous experience in building and deploying tools and infrastructure is a plus.
