Duties
- Care for and supervise infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Create and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate sensory, cognitive, and motor development.
- Observe and track each child's development, noting milestones and potential areas for growth.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction, language development, and emotional well-being.
- Provide nurturing and responsive care, meeting each child's physical and emotional needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Collaborate with team members and attend regular meetings to discuss curriculum, child development, and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education trends and techniques.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with infants or young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of infant development and early childhood education principles.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and sit on the floor to interact with children.
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations when necessary.
