Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a perfect cup of coffee.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers, taking their orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations when needed.
- Operate the Square POS system for processing transactions, handling cash, and managing customer payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist in restocking as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
Skills
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and retail math principles.
- Familiarity with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food service standards and food handling practices is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
