Continuous Improvement Specialist
Job Purpose
Successfully execute performance improvements across the facility. Serve as a data analysis and operations resource to deliver improved plant performance through training, process improvement, and appropriate continuous improvement activities.
Essential Functions
Support the continuous improvement program and all operational and workplace organization standards
Utilize appropriate continuous improvement methodologies to optimize asset and employee effectiveness
Support and / or implement reliability improvement plans for manufacturing assets
Develop and maintain reporting systems that allow data driven decisions and identify necessary improvement activities
Provide operational expertise for capital projects to ensure commitments are met
Support new product commercialization initiatives for operations
Oversee cost improvement efforts including manufacturing / operations, warehouse, and planning departments
Support plant leadership in annual operating and capital plan development
Facilitate training to leadership and associates for key problem-solving / continuous improvement methodology tools
Assist team in creating and sustaining an environment of continuous improvement and fact-based decision making
Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
High school diploma required; college degree in business or science preferred
5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution required; experience in food manufacturing preferred
Experience with training and coaching problem-solving and continuous improvement methods
Complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent computer skills including MS Office, statistical analysis and project management tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of product quality, FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations

Residents Only : The salary range for this role is $57,000 to $82,000 annually. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
