Maintenance Technician for both Vero and Jensen

Position requirements:

Must be able to work both locations, Vero and Jensen

Valid Florida Driver’s License

Clean driving record

Level II background screening

Maintains the campus buildings, in both Vero Beach and Jensen, in optimal condition by utilizing equipment and tools. Fills in as bus driver for the day program when a driver calls out. The successful candidate will be responsible to complete daily work requests and assignments and projects as well as cleaning and preventive maintenance and daily inspection of all facilities. Performs preventive building inspections, maintenance and repairs of structures, grounds and common areas, to include machines, equipment, mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment.

Working Conditions

• Mainly indoor building maintenance activities and events. However, may also participate in groundskeeping/vehicle duties which is in an outdoor setting with weather variations, including extreme heat.
• Occasional bus driving when a driver is out.
• Occasionally may require a varying schedule to include a split shift.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• May be exposed to various cleaning and landscaping chemicals.

Physical Requirements

• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, climb ladders, crawl, frequently lift to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate golf carts and other vehicles necessary to perform duties
• Ability to operate machinery and power tools
