Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional service and high-quality food and beverages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, with a passion for coffee and baking. As the Café Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our café runs smoothly while providing a welcoming environment for both staff and customers. Our cafe is a non profit providing a bigger stage for young adults with special needs to SHINE.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily café operations, including staff management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills in hospitality and customer service.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including daily sales reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with staff to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends in culinary offerings.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and exceptional service delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, coffee products, and equipment; place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Solid understanding of food management principles, including health regulations and safety standards.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a unique environment while maintaining high standards of service.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
