We are seeking a reliable and flexible part-time staff member to join our team. This position involves filling in as needed to cover shifts, primarily during evenings and weekends. Daily Programing
· Treats individuals with dignity and respect.
· Exemplify the culture and mission of the agency.
· Provides transportation to and from activities; while keeping inside of vehicles clean and ensuring that pre-trip inspections are completed.
· Assists individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans.
· Promotes participation and involvement in community outings.
· Works all assigned schedules, including but not limited to arriving and departing on time, requesting time off in advance, and notifying your supervisor of changes to your assigned work schedule.
· Develop and foster a professional relationship with the individual based upon mutual respect and trust. Act as individuals advocate.
· Administers medications to individuals as assigned.
· Supervise and assist as needed during meal preparation, housekeeping responsibilities, personal hygiene, grooming and other activities as needed.
· Keeps residence – both interior and exterior – and resident personal space clean, organized, and tidy and encourage them to participation in home beautification and upkeep as appropriate according to their individual plans.
· Represents RISE Community Services in a professional manner to families, service coordinators, State officials, and community partners when required.
Documentation
· Documents individuals health (i.e. seizure charts, weight, bowel movements, fluid intake.);
· Complete all documentation in a timely manner as assigned by supervisor while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable rules and regulations.
Safety
· Supervises mealtimes based on individual needs, especially those identified as a risk for choking.
· Follows safety protocols to foster a safe working environment.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Availability during evenings and weekends.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Pre-employment drug screen required.
- Pre-employment background screen required.
