JOB PURPOSE
The Outreach Manager plays a critical role in expanding the organization’s reach and influence. This position works to promote the organization’s mission, enhance brand awareness, and drive engagement through effective outreach strategies. The Outreach Manager also supports the organization’s marketing, advertising, and communication efforts by organizing and optimizing internal and external messaging.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build, develop, and maintain relationships with partners, individuals, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to foster collaboration and promote the organization’s mission.
- Outreach Strategy Development:
- Create, implement, and evaluate outreach strategies and campaigns to drive engagement, awareness, and support for the organization’s initiatives.
- Brand Awareness and Advocacy:
- Act as an ambassador for the organization’s brand, ensuring all communications reflect the mission and values.
- Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Oversee and schedule tours or exhibits with the public.
- Internal & External Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce cohesive, consistent, and impactful messaging across all communication channels.
- Draft and edit content for newsletters, social media, press releases, and other communication outlets.
- Event Coordination:
- Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and campaigns to engage the community, partners, and individuals.
- Coordinate logistics, liaise with vendors, and manage event promotion efforts.
- Volunteer Program Coordination:
- Oversee RISE’s volunteer program, including recruitment, onboarding, and training of volunteers.
- Develop engagement and retention strategies to ensure volunteers are effectively integrated and aligned with organizational needs and culture.
- Content Creation:
- Develop and oversee the creation of outreach materials, including digital content, presentations, and marketing collateral, ensuring consistency in voice, message, and brand.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track and analyze outreach metrics to measure the impact of initiatives.
- Prepare reports and make data-driven recommendations to optimize future strategies.
All other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Proven experience in outreach, community engagement, or marketing roles.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaborate within a team
- Proficiency with digital marketing and social media platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background check after employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and will be subject to random drug and alcohol checks thereafter.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur’s license within 14 days of hire.
- Successfully complete employment-related training as directed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Mobility: Ability to move around the office and attend meetings within the facility, as well as travel to offsite meetings, events, and community engagement activities. This may include walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
- Speech and Hearing: Clear speech and good hearing are necessary for effective communication, whether by phone, video conferencing, or in person at events and meetings.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry materials, such as event supplies, displays, and promotional materials, typically weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Travel: The role may require travel to community events, and other locations within a designated area. Access to reliable transportation is often necessary.
