Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager. This is an entry level to intermediate level position ideal for someone with a passion for construction and project management who is seeking advancement opportunities over time.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects
- Review preliminary project drawings and assess the scope, including any potential risk factors
- Collaborate with the Lead Project Manager to ensure all project objectives are met within the specified timeframe and budget
- Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on the construction site
- Assist in resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process
- Provide support to the project manager in all aspects of project management
Qualifications
- Exceptionally detail oriented
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specs and shop drawings
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred though not required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment both internally with colleagues and on job sites with external teams
- Comfortable using and learning new software
- Knowledge of construction processes and techniques
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
