Responsibilities:
Set Preparation: Assist in the setup and breakdown of production sets, including assembling and disassembling stage components, lighting structures, audio systems, and scenic elements.
Equipment Handling: Safely handle and transport production equipment, including unloading and loading from trucks.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other stagehands, technicians, and production staff to achieve seamless coordination during set up, strike, rehearsals and live performances.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or vocational training in stagecraft or related fields is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the entertainment or production industry is preferred but not required. Construction experience is often beneficial to a transition to this industry.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and stand for extended periods, often while working outside.
Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to Detail: Precise and neat placement of structures, equipment, and cabling provides the polish to live events that allows us to shine for our clients and event hosts.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly and effectively solve problems to ensure the smooth completion of a job.

Role Descriptions
General Stagehand (GS)
Stagehands assist a variety of departments under the direction of leads and technicians to complete a build for live events, and are the labor backbone of a live event. You’ll be involved from start to finish, when cases first get unloaded from trucks, to when they’re loaded back on.
This is the entry level position that will allow you to gain experience handling a variety of equipment to find your niche in the industry. This role requires teamwork, ability to learn new things, and work both under direction and without supervision. This is often the most labor intensive role, and will require physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects above your head.
Scenic / Carpentry (S1/S2)
Scenic positions involve the construction and assembly of infrastructure and artistic elements for an event. This can include assembling prefabricated elements, or building custom structures from plywood and beams, including measuring and cutting on the fly. Scenic structures are often the infrastructure that other departments build upon, including staging and flooring.
Lighting Technician (L1)
Responsible for planning and executing the design, procurement, and setup of all lighting equipment according to the event plan. Proficient in operating the lighting console, troubleshooting equipment, and understanding power load capacity. This role involves direct collaboration with clients or artists to achieve the desired design aesthetic and coordination with the Master Electrician on-site.
Lighting Assistant (L2)
Supports the planning and execution of lighting design as directed by the Lighting Technician.
Basic programming knowledge and cable management skills are sometimes required. Proficient in lifting 50lbs overhead, potentially on a ladder. Basic rigging knowledge is beneficial.
Audio Technician (A1)
Plans and executes the design, procurement, and setup of all audio equipment per the event plan. Proficient in operating the audio console, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring a complete understanding of power load capacity. This role involves interfacing with clients or artists to determine ideal volume levels and addressing feedback issues.
Audio Assistant (A2)
Supports the plan and execution of audio design as directed by the Audio Technician. Proficient in cable management, basic power load distribution, and the ability to lift 50lbs overhead, sometimes on a ladder. Basic rigging knowledge is helpful.
Rigging (R1/R2)
Executes the setup of various event equipment (lighting, audio, infrastructure) in diverse scenarios. Requires previous experience, understanding of knots, load capacities, weight distribution, and personal safety equipment.
Fabric (F1/F2)
Executes the setup of various event décor (drapery, floral, artwork) on a variety of event structures manually, by cranes, or hoists.
